NLP is not just a tool for coaches and therapists
it is a real tool that anyone can use to
enhance their daily lives. It is the
key to understanding how successful people
motivate themselves, it can help you do what
you do only better. How about that incredibly successful, self
motivated, focused, positive individual that
seems to always achieve exactly what he aims
for? How do they do it, is it some mystical power? No, the technique they use can be learned by anyone. Now imagine if you could harness this ability for you or (if you have one) your business, whether it’s to enhance sales or your own performance. Welcome then to NLP, [Neuro Linguistic Programming]. What is NLP, well let me first say that it is not a faddy, mumbo jumbo technique that you’ll learn and never be able to apply; NLP is as applicable to daily life as getting up in the morning, in fact it’s better because it’ll make you want to get up in the morning. Put simply: Neuro – mindbodyspirit Our five senses are the media through which we perceive the world around us, they are the doorway to transmitting information to our brain. Linguistic – language This is how we process/make sense of the input from our senses; it is how we transmit our perceptions which dictate the language (internal and external) that we use which in turn dictates our perceptions, responses and behaviours. Programming – internal processing Consider thought as the programmes that run on our computer or brain and it becomes clear that we can use words to write or re-write these programmes. In effect influence modal thought patterns and change the mental processes from which responses and behaviours are derived. By learning NLP you will unlock a potential which will impact on every aspect of your life, which will become more flexible as your understanding deepens. NLP can be applied in any situation whether a business or personal context. You will discover how to communicate more effectively, let go of negative behaviours and become even more skilled in the areas you want. Brains don't come with an owners manual, if they did, this would be it. Andy Duffy | |
